MANNERS IS OUT !!!
Today Mount Analogue's second title -- MANNERS: Poems and Collages by Ted Powers -- is officially released !! We're really proud of this incredibly beautiful object, its contents, and the process by which it became.
Everything Mount Analogue does and is happens because of collaborative, community efforts, acts of kindness, scrappy resourcefulness, and a focus on the weird qualities of existence inside of everything -- qualities that we should honor and hold up, not shy away from.
We are so proud of this title because not only does MANNERS create a totally original and strange atmosphere with equal parts funny and plaintive poetic and visual work, but because its physical birth into the world has come about from a huge community effort. With riso printing by Cold Cube Press, offset by Saigon, binding by Phil's Custom Bindery, collating by volunteers, poem-commercials with Chris Lott and Wall of Ears, release party plans with The Factory, and the willingness of people to hear and see and be with us, MANNERS isn't just a Mount Analogue title, or Ted Powers' debut collection, both of which are important -- but through the collaborative work of so many minds, MANNERS becomes even more than that!
This book is really a work and experience of art that exists on its own plane.
